From singing “hanky panky shanghai” and yelling“Ni Hao”, to prejudice that Indian people in the Netherlands lack social skills. I think we can agree that these are not nice things to say. Unfortuntely, the Asians in the Netherlands are still hearing this from fellow Dutch people, or they get treated differently by Dutch people unconsciously. Racism against Asians in the Netherlands is real.
As you can read on our projects page, iamprofiled works on a project basis.
This means that projects at iamprofiled are of short duration and that we need volunteers for each project.
For example, you sometimes have volunteers who only want to participate in one project, but often most volunteers help with multiple projects.
Sometimes consecutively and sometimes a season later. In short, participating in a project is without obligation.
The good thing is that you don't need work experience for most tasks (except for a few) and you don't need to have any knowledge about social science.
What we find more important is that you have a passion for inclusion for all peaceful groups in the Netherlands and that you can take initiatives.
Usually we can even teach you skills that you lack! Iamprofiled is, therefore, the perfect place to not only make an impact on the Asian community in the Netherlands,
but you can also gain work experience.
As mentioned before, projects at iamprofiled are quite short.
An average project lasts two months, where you only need to be present 2-4 times a month during the online meetings of a maximum of one hour.
You can then schedule the tasks you are assigned to when you want to perform them, as long as they are completed before the deadline.
Often the tasks can be performed at home, but with some tasks you are expected to come outside (think of camera operator e.g.).

Iamprofiled has only been active since 2020, which means that there is still plenty of work to be done to reach our goals - hence this vacancy page.
This is YOUR chance to help grow and form a new advocacy organisation!
In fact, if you decide to become part of the board this year, you will be eligible to put your name in our Chamber of Commerce registration when we become an official foundation.
But even as a general volunteer you can still make a big impact with your own ideas.
Although we are relatively new, we are growing fast
(the chairman is an online marketing expert and ex-YouTuber) and we helped to open the way for Asian representation at various organizations.
Eventually, we want to be seen more in the mainstream media to reach a bigger audience.
Wouldn't it be fun to be able to put this on your CV that you were involved in changing the world for the better? 😄
